The Immaculata Medallion is a Diocesan award given annually to honor the extraordinary efforts of lay people in supporting parish life. This week, Rick and Patti Phillips received the Immaculata Medallion from Bishop Lucia. They are fixtures at the 11:00am Mass, extending hospitality at the door, singing in the choir, and even ringing the bells when no servers are available. They have served on parish council and the social committee, serving pasta and pancakes (thankfully not in the same meal). They have sacrificed weeks and weeks of vacation time to accompany youth on service trips and spent countless Friday nights in the gym. Like St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, they recognize you can’t give what you don’t have, so they strengthen their own giving through Adult Education programs and daily Mass. With gratitude for all they have done to make our parish such a special spiritual home, we join Bishop Lucia in thanking Rick and Patti for their tireless service to the Lord and to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish.
