Francis House provides a home and a supportive extended family to people with terminal illnesses; those with a prognosis of six months or less to live. Francis House welcomes residents of all faiths, ethnicities, and abilities to pay. It is the mission of Francis House to ensure that each resident is cared for with dignity, respect, and compassion. Francis House was founded in 1991 by Sister Kathleen Osbelt, OSF, and is located on Michaels Ave. on the North side of Syracuse.
