It has been a great blessing to have Deacon Joe Ryan with us this summer. His preaching has been wonderful and gives great confidence that his training and formation are working! He taught an inspirational Adult Education class on friendship – drawing us closer to the ideals the Lord calls us to. He has baptized infants and led Benediction. He was very generous with the Totus Tuus and youth programs – even climbing on a bus for the Steubenville weekend alongside Deacon Mark Kay. His generous leadership will be missed, but we know that the Lord is forming him for even more. As he returns to Saint Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore for his final year of formation, we send him off with our prayers and support. On Wednesday, August 7th, Deacon Joe Ryan will be preaching at the 9:00 am Daily Mass. We will have coffee and snacks after the Mass to celebrate him and send him off.
