Next weekend, we welcome a representative from the Daughters of Divine Love who will share with us their important work. The missionaries who visit us each year remind us of the fact that we are part of One, Holy Catholic, Apostolic Church. We are one with the missionaries and the people they serve, even if we are never in direct contact with them. Our participation is a manifestation of holiness. Taken together, our efforts are universal, or catholic. And they are Apostolic, a response to the mandate of Jesus to the Apostles to go forth to all nations. Through mission work, we share the love and concern of Jesus with all the world. The poor box is set aside for donations this weekend. Checks should be made out to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church with a note in the memo line: Missionary Appeal. That way, a single check can be written from the parish in support of their ministry.
