Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety and well-being of our Mass participants, and after consulting with local law enforcement, the St. Mary’s Safety Committee has recommended that certain St. Mary’s exterior church doors be locked ten minutes after weekend Masses begin, for the purpose of allowing ushers and safety team members more controlled visibility and preparedness during Mass. After careful consideration and deliberation, we have decided to enact the safety committee’s recommendation and begin locking certain exterior church doors during weekend Masses, effective Sunday, August 23, 2026.
